Woodcarving was widely used during Chinese Ming and Qing dynasty and can be found in local residence windows or doors. This square panel was made in 19th century. Clear but intricate symmetrical pattern pieces were transferred into the final look by master craftsmanship. It was well maintained in outdoor environment and original lacquer remains under naturally developed patina.
